Beautiful Rickenbacker 4003 in FireGlo for sale. 2006. It has the vintage tone pull/push pot and still has the pickup cover. It is shiny like a piece of candy!
This bass is in EXCELLENT condition with just a few tiny dings - one at the bottom edge near bridge, one at the bottom horn near back edge, one on the back body edge, and a few obligatory dings at the very top edge of the headstock. I took pics of all of them. Plays beautifully and sounds like a Ric should with or without the vintage circuit engaged.
Comes with original hardshell Ric case. Case has scuffs but is in great condition with the exception of one of the feet being pushed in as seen in pic. All latches work perfectly.

GONE!

I can only wish i still had my two ricks from the 80's....ughhhh...
Had a 1982 rick 4001 in ivory with black PG & binding!!
Had a 1985 rick 4003 in the fireglow sunburst with white PG & binding.
Both at the same time span.
Bought em new and sold em mint.
Could only imagine they would both be worth a small fortune now in 2011

Don't care for the chunkier older P or StingRay end of things. I understand Rick necks can vary a lot. Also, what's the weight? Thanks much!

Thanks much! | The neck is thicker than the one on my 4003S, so I'd say on the thicker side for a Ric. Not like an older P or Stingray though.
Don't have the weight, I'll have to check. |
