Wink RickenFaker / FakenBacker - Fireglo-ish w Tolex HSC - $425!!!!!

NO TRADES!

Selling my RickenFaker. Why so cheap? It's needs a little TLC.

1 - This will NOT come with the real Ric truss cover pictured (but I'll fix the ****** string job that the previous owner did ;-). I can give you some "FakenBacker" decals as pictured in my avatar and I can tell you where to buy a blank Ric style truss cover for $11 to put the decal on.

2 - Wiring needs a good cleaning & maint. This bass sat for the last 10ish years in the case. Pots are scratchy, jacks are in need of cleaning, switch needs to be cleaned, etc. Probably won't have to rewired, but I'm not sure of this. I know that both pickups do ni fact work. Between messing with the switch, pots and both jacks, I can get sound from both pickups. Just have jiggle things a bit. Some contact cleaner from RadioShack and some TLC will prob fix everything, but can't say for certain (worse case new jacks, pots, etc is prob $20ish or so).

3 - Could use a fret leveling to get the action lower. Some frets are a little high. Frets 5 and 18 are the worse offenders. It's playable now for those who like medium-highish action, but a good leveling will be needed to get it low. The good news is that there is plenty of life left on the frets.

Old-school, heavy-duty wood / tolex case included! It's a rectangular case like a G&G. May even be a G&G for all I know (not sure). But it's NOT a cheapo. Has some stickers on it, but you can peel those off if you like.

Most Fakenbackers sell for a LOT more and most of those do not include a heavy-duty old school tolex hardshell case. So with a little TLC you can have a solid bass for cheap. This is an especially good deal for you do-it-yourselfers.

Tuners are real Ric. Bass is prob about 9 lbs. Not too heavy at all. Very solid. Does not feel cheap at all. Both pickups are Ric style (even the one under the cover). I've seen some copies that don't have a true horseshoe looking pickup under the cover, but this one does!

Price does not include shipping BUT I'LL SPLIT THE COST WITH YOU.

I'll be listing this on my local craigs in a day or so, so act now!
