Road Worn Jazz Bass w/case & gig bag

EDIT -- Now for sale on consignment at Bass Specialties in Bensalem, PA (8/21/2010)

This bass was brand-new just about 4 months ago, and has never been gigged, just played in a smoke-free home. It comes with both the original Fender heavy-duty gig bag and a $180 (retail) vintage tweed hardshell case (see pic's below). I paid more than $1,100 for this $1,499 retail bass + another $129 for the case, but since I need to sell this bass to pay for a few other basses that I have acquired, I will sell for $745 shipped with just the gig bag or $810 shipped with both bag + case. PayPal and shipping fees within the lower 48 states are covered in this price!

Tempting as it is (and it is indeed tempting), I need to sell this, and a Sadowsky NYC 5-string, to free up some $$$ due to recent gear acquisition syndrome (GAS).

If you are truly interested, I will hold it for you for a few days. If this bass does not sell here by the weekend, I am going to put it up for sale on consignment at a basses-only store where I purchased it new.

I'm very interested. Do you have an actual weight of this bass?

Cheers,
Scott

Yes, hecho en Mexico (possibly poor grammar and spelling, but it is made in Mexico).

Don't have a true use for the Fender Bassman 135 / 2x15 rig, but I am such a slut for tube amplification!
