Rob Allen MB-2 5 string lined fretless maple top

This is a 35" scale Rob Allen MB-2 with gig bag. Base is very clean, I see one ding at the botton near the strap button and nothing else. It's a fantastic bass, just not anything I need right now. 1500 plus shipping, paypal is fine.

Hey, Leo. I'm vey interested and can pay via PayPal. Couple of questions:
1. Is the balance and tone across the strings consistent?
2. I'm wondering about the tone of the bass given the maple top. How would you describe the tone vs. the sound sample of the Mouse fretless on the Rob Allen website? http://www.roballenguitars.com/sound_mb2.html I'm trying to get that wooly acoustic sound
3. Any issues with the neck?
Thanks

I actually think that your link points at a sound sample of a MB2-5. Just like the one that is for sale... :-) I am sure this bass sounds pretty much like the sample. Damn, if I didn't have a Mouse on order at Rob's, I'd love to get this bass!

you did just link to the mb-2, you can definitely get that tone out of it. I actually take a little off the top and shoot for a thumpier tone using a fishman pre and it really nails the upright like vibe I am shooting for.

yes the consistency is great, just like every RA I have had, which brings me to a point. Haven't had a mouse, but I have had maybe 6-7 Rob Allens at different points and all of them were very consistent and very familiar. So much to the point I have no issues with getting rid of this and another one later on. The playability is top notch, it just feels so good.

Oh, it will definitely get played. I'm no collector -my 1980s era Yamaha BB1200 has (till now) been my only bass. I'll try to figure out a way to post a sound file once I'm up and running.
