Rob Allen Solid 4 bass with form-fitted hard shell case - SOLD
These are pretty rare, but I'm not playing it enough to justify keeping it. Fantastic condition, I'd say 9.7 out of 10.

what are the controls on it; tone and volume or volume (mag) and volume (piezo)?

It's got one volume and one tone for it's single pickup. Here are specs from the Rob Allen website:

•34” scale

•9.5" fingerboard radius

•quartersawn maple neck (more rigid that slab sawn necks)

•rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges for worn~in feel

•vintage sized frets, dressed slightly inside the edges of the fingerboard.

•swamp ash body

•thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish

•original design solid aluminum bridge, incorporating volume and tone

•original design single coil magnetic pickup, Alnico 2 magnets

•original design string anchor

•Italian celluloid pickguard as pictured!

No piezo on the S4. Tone and volume.
