While jamming tonight, I had an epiphany... (not involving Epifani, though).

I was jamming with some friends at a party and brought a 4 string. Another guy had an SR5 and I jammed on that and it made me realize many things all at once:
1) I want an SR5
2) I don't like playing 4 strings so much
3) I may need to buy a new (cheap used) car and these basses need to go for any of these reasons.

1) 1985 Ibanez Roadstar II
Well worn, upgraded electronics and shielded, flatwounds (includes an additional set of rounds, too!)

2) 2003 Ibanez SR490
Wenge neck, plays and sounds great, play wear on body, but neck is great!

3) Hohner JJ bass
No idea of body wood, but flamed maple veneer.
Active/Passive, added series/parallel switch to it. Bass and treble boost/cut, preamp gain control as well.
Chunky neck, is straight and solid, 1-9/16" nut width.
Fits Fender pickguard (as shown), which would be included if you wanted it. It's not attached, just put on for the picture.
Some play wear, but in good shape overall. BRAND NEW Prosteels on it.
10/25: Installed a set of Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups (bought pre-epiphany) and wired them up... HOLY TONESMACK!!! Made a HUGE difference. They are wired with push/pulls on each (series/parallel) and still have the 2 band pre w/bypass.

I have one of those roadstars, same year, in white. Those pickups get an awesome grindy rock tone, among other tones. Next to the P pickup in my '81 Ibanez, these are my favorite pickups. Unique and versatile control setup. $225 gets you a LOT of bass.

Just got this SX Ursa 5 string. Nice looking bass, but not the bass for me.

1.75" at nut, 16mm spaced at the bridge, weighs 10.6 lbs, has thumbrest and black pickguard, old headstock, vintage tint on the neck, and is in GREAT shape.
Includes a BRAND NEW set of GHS strings (unopened, old strings still on).
No case or bag, but would be packed well!

Uh... it's an SX and it's in really good shape. Perfection is not to be had at this price, but I will say, it's impressive for the price...
