Roscoe Century 6 Buckeye! 34" scale! FT!

Custom ordered Roscoe Century Buckeye with custom 34" scale as seen below. Wenge Fingerboard and Wenge center laminate. Stock Bart electronics with push/pull mid switch.

http://www.rocketmusic.net/cgi-bin/c...ction&key=4960

This plays beautifully and is very comfy for a her, really took no time to adjust to this at all. Very deep sounding bass with a prominent vocal quality to the miss, reminiscent of a Warwick... maybe it's the wenge, I dunno but it's sweet.

Very nice bass, light weight and well balanced, Just unsure of the whole 6 thing so I want to see what's out there. Brand new Nickel D'Addario set strung D-F (.110-.020)

Looking for 5ers or maybe a nice 4 banger. Zon, Sadowsky, Spector, Warwick, USA Lakland.

trade for Pedulla Limited Edition 5 or Rickenbacker 4003 (brand new)

Also have Warwick Vampyre Limited Edition 4 but would need some extra value.

Bongo Dargie Delight 5?

Surprising amount of great offers. It is currently strung D-F just because I could honestly. I'll put it back to "normal" before shipping. Kind of neat to have the top end in piccolo range, especially with the way the bass is voiced.

Can add cash towards a MTD OR USA Sadowsky.

I'm considering an offer as well, are you looking for 34" or 35" 5ers, or does it matter?

Prefer 34" scale but I'm not married to it. I've got 35" basses and they feel fine. At work right now, will try to get back to everybody later today.

Ugh... I'm dumb. D-E flat. Not a tuning I'm used to. I'll be switching back to standard B-C shortly as the upper register is a bit thin and I miss the lower notes more than I would the higher ones.

Back up and thanks everyone for your interest.

Back up for your approval. Still on the search.

Will add cash for a MTD with wenge goodness or a NYC Sadowsky.

Back up. I am really becoming smitten with this bass but my comfort zone is truly in 5 string land. I'll try to get some sound clips or a video up.

I noodled around on a Schecter 6 at a store today. I wonder if I sold my Roscoe 6 too soon. The Schecter B string stunk, but the overall feel was kind of nice. I think my wife would kill me if I bought a 6 again after seling my custom made Roscoe 6.

Still that great Roscoe B string even at 34" scale???
