REALLY need to move this, so new ridiculously low price: $1,150. Shipped.
I know everyone's heard this... I have absolutely NO desire to give up this bass, but having been laid off, I need cash to stay afloat, especially as we leave the GB wedding season behind (my bread and butter). So, I do this with great reluctance and knowing that in better times I'd like to repurchase or buy a new Roscoe. These things are such wonderful players but I can't afford it right now, and that totally bums me out (but not as much as not being able to pay my bills, obviously).
Specs: this model was made in the mid-1990s and has since been professionally refinished with nitrocellulose lacquer, in a nice vintage cherry sunburst. Ash body, maple neck & fingerboard, Wilkinson bridge, EMG pickups. Controls are volume, blend, stacked bass/treble. This bass received an entire refret ($400) from Keith's shop back in July of this year, and plays with very low action either at the first position or above the 12th fret. Is wearing a brand new set of DR Lowriders (SS).
35" scale, weight is 9.5 pounds. Comes with decent generic HSC.
Thanks for looking!

Edit: and you are killing me with one of Henry's books next to your bass......

And yes, neck action is killer with the refret. it may not be as pretty as some of the newer Roscoes, but for the price this an outstanding player with tone. Open to reasonable offers!

Congratulations on your new job, and I hope it allows you to keep this bass. At least until I can raise the cash to buy it off you! |

You will definitely be getting a much better built bass going with the Roscoe. Just look at this beauty! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
