Roscoe LG 5 string

Here is the opportunity of a lifetime. Keith Roscoe made this bass for me about 6 years ago. It has a very light and bright Spanish Cedar body, with an Exhibition Quilted Maple Top.

This bass has an awesome clarity for an amazing slap tone, as well as sounding like a P-bass on Steroids. Sort of a mix between an MTD bass and A Fender P-bass. If I had only one bass to use for funk, jazz, country, or

Rock, this would be the one to use. To have Keith make you one now, would take about 12 months, and cost $4495.00 List price. I am willing to let this go for $2,100.00 O.B.O.

I can take visa or master card, as well as paypal or cash. Also, you would be able to use this as a charitable contribution for tax purposes if needed. I don't want to sell it, but am forced to.

It also comes with the custom, semi soft sided case from Roscoe.

35" Scale - 24 Frets 5 string
Small Hand Carved Body
Book matched figured maple top over choice of body woods
5-piece graphite reinforced Maple/Purpleheart/Maple with two Purpleheart stringers, where the Purpleheart center laminate is tapered from headstock to neck joint .
Lightweight Hipshot tuning keys in black
Precision milled custom design bridge by Hipshot in black
Hand carved GraphTech nut
18 volt dual-pickup Bartolini electronics with volume, blend, bass, midrange, and treble

Thanks for all the interest. This has a maple fretboard. I just played it the other night on a gig, and again people that never notice anything came up to me and asked about it's awesome tone.

I literally feel sick about having to sell her. But my wife is having an operation, and I need the cash to pay the insurance deductable.

If this bass could cook, I might just let the wife go.

I'd bet you could do 35" with this one. Roscoe necks are very comfy.

Here is a video of this bass. In the video, it has a bit of a purple tone to it. In normal lighting, it is totally cobalt blue.

Thanks for all the interest. I can't really do trades right now. If I didn't have to have the cash, this would be a lifetime keeper. Over the years I have owned and played literally hundreds of basses.

This one is one of the top five I have ever played. Amazing playability, and tone shaping ability is truly astonishing.
