***the knob closest to the neck is the master volume, back and closest to the pickup is blend control. The stacked knob directly below the blend knob are for the high midrange (upper knob) and low midrange (lower knob) frequency cut/boost control. The stacked knob to the rear are for the high (upper knob) and low frequency (bottom ring)cut/boost control. The switch between the nmaster volume and low/high midrange controls is for the "Z- Mode switch,which changes the capacitance on the pickups; the center position is MID Z or what all pickups are normally at, at the up position the HIGH Z mode and gives slightly brighter more present sound, the down position is the LOW Z mode and gives a slightly deeper more thick sound.....
