Roscoe SKB-3005 $2300 shipped

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello All,
I have for sale a Roscoe SKB 3005. Anyone familiar with Keith B. Roscoe basses understands that these instruments are crafted to be distinct in look and sound. The neck is quick the body is light and playing is easy.

This bass pretty much plays itself and you will be satisfied with the extremely good condition the bass is in. But the softshell case is probably an 8.9 out of 10.
I am an avid bass lover who takes good care of my instruments. The bass comes with the original soft sided molded case.

I have the original letter from Keith Roscoe, it says:
Madrone Burl top with Mahogany body.
The neck is maple with a purpleheart center lamination, and Maple and Cherry accent laminations.
The fingerboard is figured Chechen.
It has a Barotolini 3 band EQ.

$2300 shipped. Feel free to make offers.

Nice bass. Any idea of the specs on it? Looks like a spanish cedar body.

I've got the original paperwork from Roscoe, just not on me right now. I'll post them up later today.

What a gorgeous bass! Mahog-bodied Roscoes are insane...I've absolutely loved every one I've played. And I'll second the notion that these instruments nearly play themselves...your only risk is being pulled over by the note police. All the best with the transaction...

This is a standard SKB.
@4to5to6 - With some pliers and some glue you can make it a lined fretless!

Ouch! I've done a lot of conversions but it would be cruel to convert such a nice instrument as this! Neck geometry is different on a fretless to get the right down angle over bridge. Besides I like the lined diamond wood boards that Roscoe uses. Thanks though.

Really nice! That fingerboard is beautiful, and as Jerry said mahogany bodied Roscoes tend to sound quite huge.
