Roscoe SKB 3005 for sale! This bass is in EXCELLENT condition. It is flawless with the exception of typical minor scratching on the back from being played, which won't even show up in the pics. As expected with Roscoe, stellar workmanship, quality, ergonomics, and tone. This is a fabulous bass but it is getting no love as of late since I'm on a J kick right now. Comes with awesome molded Roscoe case that tightly hugs the bass. Here are the specs:
SKB 3005
Burl Myrtle top
Swamp Ash body
Natural finish
Bartolini pickups & 3-band preamp
Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard
Graphite nut
Black hardware
The bass was completed in September of 2004 and originally sold through
Bass Northwest in Seattle, WA.

35" scale
Bridge spacing looks like 18 or 18.5mm. Maybe a Roscoehead can confirm the spacing on these. |

Folks, nothing on the planet plays like an SKB five-string...and no doubt this sounds as good as it looks. Jump on it! |

Great price on a magnificent instrument. I've said this before, but Roscoe SKB fivers....just amazing playability. And this wood combo? Personal experience here, but I smile every time I play mine. Punchy, warm, fat, full....yes. Play a bit with the blend knob, and you can nail a P-Bass punch-in-the-chest or a J Jaco snarl.
Cosmetically, what I love about mine, and I'm guessing would apply to this one, is that the bass just looks more amazing the closer you get to it. From 15+ feet away, the look is classy, but very subtle. Get closer, and you see the nuance of the body shape & carving, and you pick up all the gorgeous figuring in the wood. Schawing.
If you're on the fence - pull the trigger and be happy. How's that for mixing metaphors? Buy this thing! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
