Roscoe SKB 3005 - Price Reduced!

Sign in to disble this ad
Price reduced to $2150 shipped CONUS (firm)

I'm selling this bass to help out a family member.

Here is what Baba said about it:

"Roscoe SKB 3005 for sale! This bass is in EXCELLENT condition. It is flawless with the exception of typical minor scratching on the back from being played, which won't even show up in the pics. As expected with Roscoe, stellar workmanship, quality, ergonomics, and tone. This is a fabulous bass but it is getting no love as of late since I'm on a J kick right now. Comes with awesome molded Roscoe case that tightly hugs the bass."

I contacted Roscoe about this bass and here are the specs Roscoe GM Gard Lewis gave me:

Flame/Burl Myrtle top
Swamp Ash body
Natural Finish
Bartolini 3-band preamp
Bartolini/Roscoe pickups (custom wound for our use only)
Spalted Purpleheart fingerboard
Graphite nut
Black hardware
Case

The invoice is dated 9/22/2004, and the original dealer was Bass
Northwest."

I'll attach the main pic Baba posted on his ad, and you can email me for more pics if he takes down his photo link from the original thread. I copied them all and have them on my hard drive if you want to see them.

Thanks -

Marc

Weekend bump for a beautiful Roscoe!
Very classy looking top and the spalted PH finger board just goes perfect with it.

Bummer that you've got to let it go! I hope everything works out for you though.

Thanks, Joe - daughter needs some financial assistance, so I just can't see keeping her. Another one will come this way someday.

That sounds perfectly reasonable. But then why are you selling the bass?

Original thread indicated the top is burled Myrtle, Roscoe GM told me in an email that the top is burled Maple ... did he mistype?

My apologies - I read "myrtle" on the invoice, and my hands typed "maple". It is absolutely, unquestionably MYRTLE!

Bass arrived as advertised . . . the spalting on the fretboard is incredible. Wish I could keep her - seems to be a fair asking price. Let me know if you have questions.

Two more shots ... surprised this is still here at this price. Several close calls but still available.
