Roscoe SKB 3005 fretless $1,700 light.
Much lighter than my fretted Roscoe, as a result some neck dive.
Burl top, spanish cedar back stained Roscoe Red. a beautiful contrast.
Diamondwood fingerboard barely any wear.
Aluminum fret lines.
Bone nut? it's white.
Action so low it should be illegal.THE lowest action I've ever played.
Nordstrand Fat Singles.
Glockenclang three band preamp. pull volume passive
Dunlop dual straplocks
barely any dings. even on the back, there are maybe three and they are all on the bottom.
It was purchased in 2008 here on tb.
$1700 + Shipping.
Roscoe Ultra Lite Case. (If my fretted sells first, no case.)
The only issue I have with it is that the treble knob center detent is weaker than I prefer. It's still there but you have to turn slow to feel it.
The Nordstrand fat singles do not deliver a fender type tone when centered. The Roscoe pickup placement just doesn't allow it. It sounds like dual coil centered but with less emphasis on that characteristic. Basically it still sounds like a Roscoe.
Beautiful bass. Nice price. Love love love the red stain.
oh my....GAS attack
Wish I liked the SKB body. I've tried a few and I seem to gravitate back to the Century.
Price drop to $1,700. How do you edit the thread title?
assuming no trades? :)
I'm only open to 1 trade. a nice active PJ black, rosewood
