WELCOME TO ROSCOE GUITARS BUILD OPTIONS PAGE
The bass is in excellent condition. The hard case has a couple of nicks in the covering, but is otherwise in good condition and certainly functions fine. The bass is wearing relatively fresh DR nickel Lo-Rider strings. Action is ridiculously low, and overall balance and playability is typical "this should be illegal" Roscoe.
The sound is wonderful. The 'CB' pickups are more open throughout the midrange than the standard compressed/punchy typical Roscoe sound...perfect for fretless. Acoustically, it's all in there - plenty of booty, nice full mids, and crisp (but not thin) highs. The electronics offer anything you'd like to dial-in. Favor the neck pickup, and you've got a warm punchy P-like tone. Bias the bridge pickup, and perhaps boost the low-mids, and fasten your seeatbelts...full speed ahead to Planet Jaco.

I've used this bass on a number of live gigs and one recording session...where it really shined.
SO, IF IT'S SO AWESOME, WHY IS IT FOR SALE?
Great question - thanks for asking. This really is a terrific bass. As easy on the ears as it is the eyes. The one and only reason I'm selling is that Roscoe is currently crafting my dream six-string fretless. Funds from this sale are going directly into that project.
TERMS AND MORE TERMS
Price is firm...not to whine and snivel, but please factor in that I'm eating the shipping expenses and paypal fees. No trades, no international shipping. Sorry in advance on both counts, but I've got too many basses already, and I still have a headache from my last attempt at arranging shipment outside of CONUS. HOWEVER....if you're reasonably local to the SF bay area, let's talk. You can come play the bass, and in exchange for $1,750 cash (preferably seventeen Benjamins and one Grant) you can take it home.
FINALLY, SOME MORE CANDY
I leave you with a few more pics and a couple of live clips. (I really wish I could share the studio clip, but the album hasn't yet been released.)
