Here's a beautiful Roscoe SKB 3006 in excellent condition. This bass plays, sounds, and looks amazing. I'm really enjoying this bass, however I'm a minimalist and don't take more to the gig than I need. I just don't go up to the high C when playing live, so for me it's not worth the additional muting considerations and real estate I have to cover. Bass takes a great low setup, balances perfectly on a strap, and weighs an amazing (for a 6 string) 8.8 pounds!

It has a mahogany body, flamed maple shim or tone plate, and is topped off with a gorgeous piece of flamed redwood. The neck is a standard Roscoe 3 piece maple/purpleheart and it has a maple fingerboard. The nut is made of diamondwood. The Roscoe Bartolini electronics were changed (upgraded, IMO) to a full Nordy setup. The pickups are Big Splits and the preamp is a Nordy 3B-4a. The preamp has a push/pull tone control to switch between active and passive mode. The tone control works in passive mode as well as active. It also has the usual 3-Band EQ (bass/mid/treble), and the mid knob is also push/pull to change from low/high mid. The Nordstrand setup opened up the high end and cleaned up the compressed midrange without sacrificing any bottom end. Trust me, this thing has bottom for days! Passive mode really gets you into a vintage vibe, which makes the bass exceptionally versatile. Active mode is what you would expect on a boutique 6 string instrument. No dents or dings; excellent condition. Anything you see in the pictures is either flash, reflections, or maybe a little dust.

Quick Details:

- Mahogany Body
- Flamed Maple Tone Plate
- Flamed Redwood Top
- Roscoe 3 Piece Neck (Maple/PH/Maple)
- Maple Fretboard
- Diamondwood Nut
- Nordstrand Big Splits
- Nordstrand 3B-4a Preamp
- Roscoe Tolex HSC
- Serial # 5528
- 18.3mm Bridge Spacing
- 35" Scale
- Joe Meyer Approved Black Hardware!
- 8.8 Pounds!!

I'm looking for TRADED shipped and insured in the Continental US. I really am not looking for trades; however I could possibly be persuaded by a Warrior, MTD, Zon, or Spector 5 string. I'm only interested in fretted 5's with natural finishes (no stained colors), and only the brands I've listed. Please PM me with questions and/or offers. Thanks!

Man, that is a beautiful bass. I would LOVE to hear this one! Every single mahogany-bodied Roscoe I've heard is amazing. Good luck with the transaction.

That top looks like you could swim in it. I'd love to hear this one as well with these pups and pre.

Thats so shiney I'd be afraid to get finger prints on it. I like the electronics package on it. Very different.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. This one is pending trade Monday with two buyers on standby should something change. I'll update the thread when it's officially gone.
