You don't even know how badly I'm GAS'ing for the RP Soundgear.

Is that the normal spacing at the bridge, or bigger?

I would love to buy the bass but alas I have no money. I do appreciate being introduced to another bass hero. I had heard of Rufus but never actually heard him. I'm blown away. Consider this a hijack bump.

Hey Rufus,

I'm Interested in the 5 string 500 series Roadgear. Does it have the stock electronics?

Thanks, Adam

Does your custom bass have ramp between pickups?

I really could not tell from the pics.

Also, i am also interested in what nordstrands pickup you used in your custom bass.

thanks!!

Custom RP 5 Questions-and answers~!!

Hey everyone
P-ups are Nordstrand BIG SINGLES...tried the fat stacks, but preferred these...
There IS a clear perspex ramp (removable-double sided tape) between the p-ups.....
Controls are- Bass Boost, mid boost with push/pull for selctable mid, and PASSIVE MASTER TONE!
I had this wired in INSTEAD of a treble boost..I am not a huge zingy bass toen fan!
This has a nice growly fender-ish vibe-although if you open the tone control up, it gives you a good slap sound too-quite bright enough!
Cheeeeers

I have played the RP Custom and had seriously thought about buying it...it is a badass bass.

Here's a bump for a great bass, and a GREAT teacher!!!

Ok to clarify!!!
The RP CUSTOM has NOT been sold yet-- though i do have a possible buyer- but watch this space because---
I actually have two Custom 5 string fretted-Another is SOLID swamp ash, one Seymour Duncan pick up-Think Gary Willis Bass but handmade here in California-Macassar Ebony board, ramp, etc....
Same price too...
Price is firm. i dont need anything else-unless someone has an old Moon J J 5 with Bartolini's..Otherwise CASH!
The bass is in great condition-as is the original Custom....
So-over to You Guys.
