Sadowsky Metro MS5 w/ single coils $1600 FIRM

Sign in to disble this ad
Got a little metro with some 'love marks'. Previous owner experienced a strap failure that resulted in a body ding and a headstock crack which was repaired by Roger Sadowsky himself. The crack doesn't move AT ALL even when cranking the B string tuning peg, and aside from these two flaws this bass is in incredible shape. Discounting to accomadate.

This is my first ash/maple with single coils, and I like this setup a lot more than the HC's. More of a true Jbass tone, and the bridge pup sound alone is worth the price of admission. Phenomenal 'burp' to each note.

This bass is a backup to my flats-strung NYC PJ5, and is really only used when I need a modern slap tone. At this point though, I'm wanting to go in another direction. Possibly even one of those Classic Series Stingray 5's.
In fact that would be the ONLY item I'd be willing to trade for, and that would have to be a white body/rosewood neck version.

More pics to come.

So was the ding repaired or the crack? The crack still looks like a crack.

The crack was injected with glue, and it doesn't go through to the front of the headstock at all.

Ah who gives a rip about a crack and a scratch! If I had the cash I would snap that one up for sure!

Oh I didn't forget it, I just tried to suppress it's memory before I became depressed......LOVE some Mexican food, don't get me wrong, but the Island folks have forgotten more about cooking pork/fish/chicken than most ever know!!!
