Sadowsky Metro RV4

Sign in to disble this ad
Selling a Sadowsky RV4 bass in excellent condition. It has a '59 sunburst finish, Sadowsky hum canceling pickups, rosewood finger board and the Vintage Tone Control option. It has the classic Sadowsky tone and then some. Very little fret wear. The burst is actually fairly brown with very little of the red highlighted in the pics..my skill as a photog is negligible. Also included is a made in the USA Tough Traveler gig bag. The gig bag is older but in very good condition (re-zippered with a metal zip last year), and originally sold for over 200.00. It really is a fantastic sounding and playing bass- the reason I'm selling is that I need to put my money into some other gear. Price for this superb ax is fairly firm, so please don't contact me to debate the price or low ball me.

asking 1600.00 plus shipping costs

Sadowsky question

The bass weighs 8 lbs 13 oz. It is currently strung with a new set of D'Addario Pro Steels, having received a recent set up.

Sorry to intrude but to be an RV it would need to be vintage design - ie with pickguard. This would be an RS-4 or a Standard 4, I believe. It certainly does have a rosewood fingerboard so it's not an MV. That would be maple plus pickguard. Any way you slice it - beautiful bass. Good luck with the sale.

absolutely correct, Steve

eeek...of course, I sit corrected...it is indeed an RS4. I would claim typo but the 's' and 'v' keys are too far apart LOL. Carelessness, obviously.
I'll close the thread and reopen with the correct heading. Thanks!
Bruce
