For sale, a lovely Sadowsky MV5 5 string Jazz bass. I love this bass, and have used it for every recording project I've done for the last 6 years or so. Unfortunately I don't play bass much at all anymore, and haven't needed the 5th string much in some time, so I'm downgrading to a squire 5 string jazz and 4 string fender P (which I've already purchased, so I am not interested in trades).
This has the VTC passive tone control, as well as the active bass and treble boost. It has a white pickguard on now, but also comes with a mint guard (which gives it a bit of a vintage look). Comes with the Sadowsky case, which is a soft shelled reenforced case that is light, but protects it like a hard shell case would.
It has a few small dings where your arm would rest (I didn't notice them until I was taking photo's for the sale), but other than that is in fantastic condition.
A fellow forum member mentioned that he believes this bass would have been made around 2004, based on the serial number.
SOLD $1800

Weight is about 9.4 lbs.
I'm not the original owner, so I don't know the year of the bass.
I'm pretty sure it has everything stock (except the strap buttons, which I replaced with strap locks a while back and then put back to standard strap buttons, so I don't know if those are the same buttons that came with the bass when I bought it).
I've got someone local interested, so I'm putting it on hold for them until we have a chance to meet this weekend. If that doesn't pan out than I'll put it back up for sale here. Thanks! |
