Well I tried the Sadowsky route and I guess I'm just a plain 'ol Fender guy after all I've been through. I've owned two, and THIS Metro is BEAUTIFUL and sounds every bit what a Sadowsky is supposed to be. It has the VTC, blend pot push-pull for passive/active, and the back of the neck has been de-glossed (at Sadowsky) and feels like a comfy old pair of sneakers to play. It's got major Mojo without all the nicks associated with a well worn in instrument, notwithstanding one small one by the input jack. (minor)
I bought a new mint pickguard from Sadowsky very recently and I really like it, however it also ships with the original Tort PG as well.
As you can see, the body is swamp ash with a maple neck. The grain is fabulous and it's a head turner. Everyone who has seen it in person oogles oohs and ahhs over it.
The tone is very solid, defined, snappy yet it has warmth and width. For Ash, it's very fat sounding.
It has Sadowsky humcancelling pickups.
