Circumstances as they are, this one has to go.
This is Sadowsky 24-5 #5011. (
5011 )
- Amboyna burl top over mahogany.
- BRAZIALIAN Rosewood fingerboard
- Sadowsky Soapbars with Sadowky 2-band preamp.
- Weighs only 7.8 lbs
- Includes Sadowsky ultralight case in very good condition.
This bass is fully to current Sadowsky specs. That is: graphite enhanced neck, chambered body, VTC, etc.
There are no condition or functional issues with the bass at all. There is a single impact ding on the back of the bass on the horn about 1/8". It is almost impossible to see or photograph as is typical with clear over natural wood. There is also a really small "rub" on the horn. You can feel it more than see it. It would probably buff out very easily.
This bass is everything you would ever want in this spec of Sadowsky. The 24-5 tone and feel. SUPER fast, comfortable neck. I would say that I find it sounds slightly smoother and more "tame" than many of the other Soapbar 24-5 basses I have heard. Perhaps this wood spec is a bit more dampening. I couldn't say other than what my ears tell me.
$3,100 insured and shipped CONUS.
If you are interested, you might want to spec the same bass NEW from the shop. You'll see that my price is EXTREMELY fair considering this bass features some of the most expensive woods offered.
This bass is pretty precious to me. I am selling for absolutely non-musical reasons and have no trade interest whatsoever. However, I understand at Talkbass that fact has no bearing whatsoever on them being offered, so forgive me in advance if I do not reply.
Trades now considered, but note that I will be VERY, VERY picky about the instrument and its condition.
VERY few trades considered. I would entertain a trade for the newest version of the Fender American Deluxe Jazz FIVE string. I would also be very interested in an NS Designs CR4-M or CR5-M. Must be M series. CASH to balance deal value of course.
