SOLD!
I've found some strength recently to thin the herd of some premium stuff, so I'm trying to move on that before I weaken again.
Ok, I just ran over this bass with a FINE TOOTH comb and it has NO FLAWS whatsoever. Literally "as-new". In fact, it even still has the cling protective film over the pickups (I put it on there shortly after I got it). I got this bass less than 6 months old, so it was essentially new when I got it, and it's still in that condition.
It has upgraded hardware (black) as well as a particularly premium flamed spalted maple top, with the pinstripe option, and an ebony board, so it's current replacement cost, as I've gotten from Sadowsky, would be $4575, and they would list it at $3650 in mint/as-new condition (which it is).
This is a RIDICULOUS bass, but I just don't play it enough to justify keeping it... especially in light of picking up more stuff this year that fits me better. Also Lisa built this one, and even amongst Sadowskys, it takes a stupid low setup if you want.
Other specs are, ash body, ebony board. I believe it's under 8 pounds. I can post an exact weight, but it's an effortless carry.
I'd be looking for a PALTRY $3200 (net) outa' this bad boy... including a portabag, and shipping/48. Again, this bass is literally as-new. Edit: While I'm not closed to the idea of a trade, I'm really most interested in an outright sale. That said, if a good trade came along that was at least still mostly cash, that would also appeal more than one that was mostly (or fully) a trade.
Tell me you don't want it... just go ahead and tell me... liar...
Let the "WHAT THE HECK IS VIC DOING" mayhem continue...

I don't want this bass. I don't want this bass. I don't want this bass. If I say it enough times...

I've put it in a case, and I refuse to touch it. If I close this thread without a sale, you'll know I succumbed, got it out, and checked it out and make sure I can let it go.
If I used this sound more often, there is no friggin' way I would ever ever ever sell this bass. I literally can't imagine a better playing and sounding 24-Fret... seriously. It plays better than any of my other Sadowskys, and maybe even better than other ones I've played elsewhere, and the B string is unbelievable. Uh oh... better shut up now...
