I recently bought this and had some discussion on it in the Sadowsky Club thread.
It is a fantastic bass. Very road-worn and worn in by the previous owner, David Barard from Dr. John's band.
The neck is straight as an arrow and it feels so good, I don't want to take my hand off of it. I will literally just hold the bass in my lap while I'm watching TV.
With that said, I need to let her go. It does sound fantastic, and being my first Sadowsky I've owned, I'm sure it has the classic active preamp tone. But for right now, it just isn't for me.
You can see all the dings and chips in the pics below. According to Roger, Mr. Barard wore rings and bracelets while he played, which caused the obvious wear above the pickguard, and on the lower cutaway.
If you are looking for a pristine, mint condition bass, this one isn't for you.
But if you want a road tested, genuine piece of Rock and Roll history, and a fantastic playing bass guitar, then this is the bass for you.
