Sadowsky NYC 5 with Quilted Maple and Single Coils

Sign in to disble this ad
I have decided to put up my Sadowsky NYC 5 for sale or maybe a specific trade with cash my way. I love the tone of this bass but feel more at home with my 34.5 to 35" scale basses. This bass is in pretty great shape 9/10 scale. I bought brand new sadowsky SCs awhile back and TBer Vic dropped them in. It is an ash body with morado board which was the perfect blend for me. I would sell outright for $3300 shipped (CONUS) in a protec gigbag (Payment by check/money order). If you want to pic it up/meet without the gigbag it is $3200 and you can choose which pickguard you want. If you want both add $30. Only thing I am really interested in is Mike Lull 35" scale MV5 with hefty cash my way, but feel free to run berg AE112 cab offers or other 34.5 or 35" scale 5 string trades by me.

Will add pics tomorrow, but here is the sadowsky website info.

Hmmm, that bass sure looks familiar. I loved it as it was but would really like to hear and play it with single coils in it.

Folks this is a very nice Sadowsky and unless Saluki drug it behind the car it is probably nicer than his description. Excellent example of Sadowsky craftsmanship at much lower price than new.

Good luck with the sale. Someone is going to be real happy with this.

Dewey,

Yip I generally try to be conservative on my ratings so everyone is happy. It sound way better to my ear than with the HCs. Love the tone and love the quality, and I can handle it if it doesn't go but if there is a better J for me out there, then I need to try it.

Added some pictures. Will consider Lakland Skyline DJ5 or JO5 in the 9.5lb range with cash my way.

it had the HC's in it when I had it....from what I understand...its a different animal with singles. the HC's are a lil more scooped with a softer high end. the singles are clearer....
here is a link to some tunes.....

It is a 34.5" modern, not the classic, but has the reverse P pickup (routed for j too), braz board and sadowsky preamp. It is punchy.
