Up for sale is my crown jewel, Sadowsky NYC Modern 24-5. I know that the moderns with fancy tops and ebony boards rarely come up for sale, especially with a top like this one, so this should make someone very very happy. Here are the specs:
Amboyna Burl Top (exhibition grade, rare swirly-type amboyna, looks like it's on fire)
Chambered Ash Body
Natural Front, Caramel Burst Back
Ebony Board
Standard 1.875" Nut, 34" Scale
24 Frets
VTC
Fresh Sadowsky Blue Nickel Strings
8.3 lbs
Virtually New, No Scratches or Dings Anywhere
Sadowsky Portabag Included SOLD $3300 (new $4500 and 8-10 month build time, assuming they still have this type of amboyna) This is a truly unique instrument. Visually stunning, light as a feather, and it can do the thickest growly/burpy tones, to a scooped hi-fi sound, to an old school P bass thump. IMO, if there ever was a perfect bass, this would come pretty darn close.

Also, what's the control knob layout? |

Volume
Pickup blend
Bass
Treble (aka VTC knob; pull up for passive mode and turn for tone control, which works even in passive mode. I love the passive sound so much that I don't even keep a battery in the battery compartment, so this bass will not come with a 9v battery!). |
