SOLD!
I just got this recently, and it's really fantastic, but it's not quite fitting me, so I'm gonna' flip it towards a new Sadowsky order. Obviously, that means no trades. Sorry.
Here's the original link, and the stats are of course correct: http://www.sadowsky.com/stock/view/4320.html - FINISH: Transparent Dark Cherry
- BODY: Quilted Maple on Alder
- FINGERBOARD: Brazilian Rosewood, 12" Radius
- PICKGUARD: Parchment
- PICKUPS: Sadowsky Humcancelling P/J
- WEIGHT: 9.05 lbs. (4.11 kg)
Someone asked about nut width. It seems just shy of 1-7/8, so if he makes a 1-13/16, that's it. Otherwise, it's the standard 1-7/8 just like my other Sadowskys, and it's just a measurement error from the roundness of the edge of the nut.
I ran over this bass with a fine tooth comb, and there are 3 blemishes. Two are pictured below, which are extremely small dings on the headstock. The third is a really light and superficial scuff on the back that I could not get to come out in the pictures, if that tells you how mild it is, I suppose. It'd probably buff out without much trouble, but frankly, I don't even see it unless I'm really scrutinizing the bass, so I never messed with it. The pickguard shows some typical superficial wear, but it's also invisible unless you're up close looking for it. The neck is perfect, and the Brazilian board is even better in person than in the pics as usual. Other than noted here, the bass is pretty much in as-new condition.
It's strung with a brand new set of Sadowsky blue steels.
Also of note, I've JUST put a brand new set of the latest Sadowsky pickups in it. Yes, the newer Nordstrand based ones. However, I still also have the original SD based pickups, which go with the bass, as well as the original rectangular rigid foam Sadowsky logo'd case, which is also in very good condition.
I'm told this bass was about $4200 new, and the pickups cost me over $300. I'd like to NET 3K out of this, including BOTH pickup sets, case, and shipping/48, which should really be totally do-able. This is an AMAZING bass with a MASSIVE classic sound, includes over $300 in brand new pickups, and it plays, well, you know... it's a Sadowsky.
Believe it or not, the scuff is right dead in the middle of this first picture as well as the reflection bright spots on the next two. I just couldn't pick it up. It's very very light.

It's really just all about what, not if, and then basically as soon as I can get it. I'm actually evaluating something this week which will basically determine what will replace this one. |

I knew this would sell easily, but I guess I figured I might get through a few PM'ers before I got someone to close the deal.
I'll wait to close this thread until the deal is totally done, tho... just in case... |

The ONLY reason I can is because I'm intending to specifically replace it with a flavor that fits me a bit better... maybe even immediately if the one I'm checking out works out all the way... otherwise, it's just a delay for a new order, but it's still happening one way or another. |

Less aggression fully blended, but man, that woody and organic P sound is there if you solo the neck. Wow. |
