Sadowsky NYC Vintage-4, quilt maple top

SOLD

This is how this bass was described by TalkBass' own Cory Bell, from whom I purchased this bass last summer (it is in the same condition as when I bought it, as I have babied it and kept it in a smoke-free home/studio. On the few gigs that I have played since acquiring this bass, I didn't even take the Sadowsky with me as they were blues/R&B gigs, and my two P-Basses fit the bill very well. Description from Cory --

Here is an incredible NYC Sadowsky Vintage 4 that I had built in 2000. It's got tonal mojo out the wazoo. It's in incredible condition.......very very very clean with no issues. No dents or dings that I am aware of......as I baby my gear.

This one has spent most of it's life in the studio and has been heavily played but is in great shape and looks almost new. The neck is nicely broken in. This is by far the absolute best J-styled bass I have ever touched. It sounds great passive as well. I've had just about every type of bass known to man in my 20+ year career as a pro and this has been my favorite J Bass of them all.

ONLY selling due to serious family medical issues. I've sold 9 NYC Sadowsky's in the last few months.....and this is the best of them all. This is a SUPER hard sale for me to say the least as this has been my go-to studio bass for years.......but you wouldn't know it to look at it.

Here are the facts:

NYC Sadowsky Vintage J 4 string made in 2000
Solid Swamp Ash Body-with heavy grains.....
59 burst finish
Upgraded Quilted maple top
VTC
Sadowsky pre and humcancelling Sadowsky pickups
Maple neck and fingerboard (neck has a very light flaming to it)
Chrome Hardware
Drop D Tuner
Older form fit Sadowsky case (made by Modern Case Co.) in excellent condition.

weight is 8 1/2 lbs. scale is 34 inches

2000 NYC Sadowsky Vintage 4

I paid $2,600 for this bass in mid-2010, and because I need money BADLY to satisfy a severe case of G.A.S, I will sacrifice this bass for only $2,375 shipped (need money pretty fast, however!)

I know that I have some pic's that I took of this sweet bass; I just have to dig them up on one of my three computers/four hard drives (or are they on my Droid?). More to follow.

pic's to come

I found some pic's on my Droid, which I will transfer, if I can figure out how. I'll also take some more tomorrow and post them here.

Replied to all (both) PMs.

FYI - Steve (mackb12) is first in line for this Sadowsky bass!

I guess that I don't need to upload the photo of this bass that I just extracted from my Droid.

Sadowsky Will Lee vs. Regular J bass Sadowsky ???

Anyone know about if the differences from the Will Lee and regular J bass from Sadowsky are worth $500 more???
