Sadowsky Original P NYC FS/FT

*****SOLD**** I got this from Il Capo here and it is a really fine bass. The only sign of use are some light scratches on the pickguard.

Light chambered Swamp Ash with a Vintage Trans White finish. The sexy J style neck has a quartersawn maple board with a beautiful grain pattern, I've never seen this before on any guitar. Vintage tint to the neck with a combo gloss/matte finish. This one has a Lollar single coil p/u and VTC. In very general terms this style P has a throatier voice than the ol' split P you know and love. The bass is very responsive to the touch. Combined with the great VTC pre a lot of tonal variation is possible for a one p/u bass.

I am looking to trade for Fender based 5'ers only ala Sadowsky and Nordstrand or Fender Custom Shop (no 35" scale please). Cash priced at what I paid for it - $2250 plus shipping with the Sadowsky rectangular case and all the candy. No paypal at this price, sorry! Not many of these made, the current new price is $3675.

I really miss this bass and here it is again with a great fella selling it.. Don't hesitate to nab this one at a seriously great price; there's a 59' Burst up on the Bay going for over three grand. This one is sexier IMHO.

Thank you sir!

I've been playing since the Great Disco Wars of the 70's and this is one of the top 5 instruments I've laid hands on. I could not resist this when it came available because it is my all time fav cool bass design, but in a very playable version unlike my old 51 slab.
This is my first experience with Sadowsky and I am knocked out. I'm only thinking of selling this because I've only recently been bitten by the 5 string bug and I can't help but wonder what a 5 string Sadowsky will do for me. I can keep her and sell 3 of my other basses instead but that is much more complicated I have a burning yearning goin' on. I think you know what I'm sayin'.

I've been on the fence about it but there is a bass here that made me do a Humpty Dumpty.

Suddenly motivated bump!
