I'm very torn about letting this go. It's the bass that made a "believer" out of me when it comes to Sadowsky. I had to see what all the hype was about so I bought this bass. I quickly saw and heard it wasn't hype.....it was fact.

This bass is an earlier version of the Metro Sads. However it brings unique specs to the table that they don't have now. Here's some of the differences. These have:

Full size J body
Badass V bridge
Single coil pickups
No VTC(vol-blend-treble-bass w P/P active/passive
All chrome Hipshot Ultra lites
21 frets with Block Inlay instead of 20
Binding
Also comes with Certificate of Authenticity, Original Moradian gig bag and original Black pickguard. I had the pearloid made for it.

If you can get full size body, maple board, Badass V, Single coils, 21 frets with blocks...and still only weigh 9.5 lbs in a affordable Sadowsky 5, why would you not?

There's another bass I've been wanting and this is the only way to get it. If the other bass goes first, I may pull this thread.

PRICE DROP $1850 $1850 shipped conus

Thanks a lot. You are so right. It gives you things in a Sadowsky you usually don't get without paying extra.

I own the 4 string version of this bass and use it in preference to my Sadowsky NYC and Metro. (Gigged it last night, actually..... The Tokyo RJs are that good. If you dig the late 70's Jazz bass tone and feel but appreciate impeccable construction, great playablity and a killer preamp, you'll love the RJ.
If I were looking for a 5'er - this would be gone by now.

Thanks for the support. Knowing the way this bass plays and sounds scares me to think that a NYC could be better. If that is the case, that is truly amazing
Can't say enough about this instrument. I just landed a CAR DJ4 so my J bass needs are covered and I'm going for something different on the 5 market.

Hey all, both pm's answered. I'm preferring to keep the shipping to US only. If you have a contact in the US, that's fine.

To confirm, this bass is stock except for the pickguard but I'm including the original Black pg. You can check the Certificate of Authenticity for the specs too. I see MV's come around quite often and are fairly easily had. These Sads with full size bodies and BA bridges with Single Coils don't come as frequent. Just saying.

This will most likely be the only price drop. After that I'll take it as a sign its meant to stay with me, which definitely isn't a bad thing.
$1895 shipped.

Messages and updates sent to potential buyers but this bass is still up for grabs for just a bit longer. Lost out on a deal for the other bass so there's very little motivation in letting this one go.
