This is the bass I swore I'd never sell. I bought this bass (#4746) direct from Sadowsky in 2007 and gigged with it on several occasions between 2007 and 2009. Over the past few years, however, it has been kept tucked away in its case. As much as I love everything about this instrument I'm just not playing four stringers these days - and I don't see that changing any time soon. I'd rather sell and put the money towards a second Sadowsky 5 than hold onto something that won't see any playing time. You can look at the specs here: http://sadowsky.com/stock/view/4746.html
The condition of this instrument is excellent. The only ding that I can find on it is a small surface dent in the lacquer near the bridge (see photo). I should also mention that there are some spots on the saddles where the black paint has worn off from usual wear.
Bass will ship with its original Ultralight case.
$3500 U.S. shipped North America.
I'm really not very interested in trades. The only basses I would consider (plus the necessary cash on my end) are a Standard 5 with figured top (no pick-guards), Roscoe Century Custom 5 or Smith BSR 5.
Flame maple fretboard. Note: the string retainer looks discoloured in this photo but it isn't really (I'll be pleased to take another photo if it helps)!
The ding is just over an inch to the right of the saddle:
