Sage Flamed Ash bass FS/FT

2 Attachment(s)
Good morning TB! Up for trade is a beautiful playing and sounding bass, specs:
*One piece Flamed Swamp Ash Body
*5A Birdseye Maple Neck, 1.5" nut
*Brazilian Rosewood Board with birdseye markers
*Delano MJ/J pickup setup (MM pickup is actually an MJ...hybrid jazz and musicman poles...beef and punch!)
*Aguilar 3 band preamp
*Hipshot Hardware

Bass is darn near flawless save for one *small* ding on the headstock in a position noone would ever see unless they closely inspected the bass. New, this bass was $4600+. I'll say about half that for trade value, though 60% would be more in line with usual "used" prices...but I don't need to tell you guys that. Love TB trades!!!

EDIT: Although I am open to just about anything, my perfect trades would be:

Mike Lull TBird
Rob Allen
Roadworn J + cash

I'll add to this list as I think of things. Please feel free to send any offers my way though so long as they are of equal trade value...in other words, I don't really want to trade multiple basses for this one. Bass + cash is Ok though :)

EDIT 2:
Lots of nice, big pictures here!:

EDIT 3:
Attached below is a pricing guide for the bass (post #19).
Adding up all the options, the cost of the bass originally was $4605 and with tax went over $5K. Yikes. Aside from that miniscule ding, which you could even sand out, the bass is mint.

I AM BUYING AN ENGAGEMENT RING AND NEED TO RAISE CASH WHILE THE DIAMOND I WANT IS STILL AVAILABLE . QUICK SALE $2000 + shipping. THAT'S 60% OFF ORIGINAL COST FOR BASICALLY A BRAND NEW BASS!

EDIT 4: BASS IS AVAILABLE FOR $1500 (trade value still $2 - 2.5K) + shipping up to $40...anything over that, I'll cover the difference. IF THE STONE I WANT SELLS BEFORE THAT, PRICE GOES BACK TO ORIGINAL. JUMP ON A SICK DEAL WHILE IT LASTS!

Sage basses are awesome.

Rumblefisher 02-08-2013 05:22 AM

Thanks Tim, I agree. They are built to very exacting standards, really some of the absolute finest boutiques out there.

Looking forward to seeing the other pics.

Ryan makes some great basses! Whats the scale length on this one? He's known to make a lot of 35in four strings.

I'll get some pics posted soon. Bass is pretty much as you see it though 9.8/10, with the 0.2 being attributed to a small, not at all noticable ding on the side of the headstock that you need to look at dead on to even see.

Pics added. Flame of the ash is exactly as you see it in the picture with sunlight (post #1, pic 2). Intense, deep, stunning.

Wow.

Hey kyle. Not sure on the scale length. Sage's site is more a collection of update threads and photos...no specs really. I did see a price guide floating around some time ago. Tomorrow I'll have some time to sift through old threads to find it.
