This is the reluctant sale of my beautiful Gibson EBO. The guy I bought it from believes it's a '62, but it's hard to date Gibsons of this era. (The serial number is 552765 if you want to research it yourself..)
The bass plays beautifully with a straight neck, good frets and perfect electrics. The tone is classic - warm and fat, just like Jack Bruce's!
I believe the truss rod cover is not original and the horse-shoe is missing. Otherwise the condition is well used but astonishingly good for a 49 year-old. It also comes with its original Gibson hard case with yellow lining, also it good condition with all the catches and hinges and everything working fine.
This is a very original guitar and a little piece of bass history. I only really play long-scale these days and this is my reason for selling, but as I said it's reluctant. I love this little Gibson for its playability as well as its heritage.
I've had it valued by the manager of The Gallery in Camden, London at £1200 and so that is my asking price (or very nearest offer). We can discuss shipping according to where you live.
Thanks for stopping by! Dan. |
