For Sale: 2008 Schecter Hellraiser-5. I need to make some room for other stuff, so this one has to go. I bought this new in 2009 and it was my first 5 string, and although it is a very nice bass, I just don’t think I am a 5 string guy at this point. This is a sharp looking bass, and of course, it’s great for metal!
Features include – neck thru body construction, mahogany body, figured maple top, maple and walnut laminate neck, EMG 18v preamp, EMG HZ pickups, black cherry finish, black chrome hardware, black pearl cross inlays, and abalone binding. My digital bathroom scale doesn’t weigh things this light accurately, but I would guess 10 to 11 lbs.
This bass is in very good condition and I probably have less than 20 hours play time on this bass. There are two minor cosmetic issues with this bass. The first is a small crack in the finish on the back of the headstock between the D and E tuners. The second issue is some oxidation or bubbles forming on the tops of a couple of the control knobs. I did try to remove this, but all I accomplished was rubbing off the “black” from the chrome finish and making a couple of the knobs shinier than the others.
