FOR SALE: 2012 PDN MusicMan StingRay 5 Ltd Ed

This is a PDN model which is the Premier Dealer Network where EBMM makes a special limited run (usually 100 or less) of a bass or guitar for their small loyal dealers (no GC's, etc).
They usually make a special color or a special feature or special wood....or something that has never been done before making these pretty special units.

Well, I have decided I am just not a 5 string kinda guy and can live quite happily with my 4 bangers forever.....
So, I present to you an incredible playing and looking bass.

This one is BOTH PASSIVE and ACTIVE which EBMM has NEVER DONE BEFORE or SINCE on a STINGRAY model.

It is a beautiful GILDED WHITE with GOLD TRIM and plays like a dream.
It has basically been a case queen since I got it in early 2012 and maybe has 10 hours of use on it....2-3 at a rehearsal and the rest in the studio.
$1600 CONUS
NO TRADES but will listen to reasonable offers..........

That is amazing and I am a sucker for white basses.

But I'm not going to buy it. Thanks for letting me look.

I am pretty certain this would be a Stingray 5 classic, which would have the 2 band EQ and slab body, am I correct?

I had one of these and thought I should have kept it.

It is a classic model, slab body gilded whiten looks sharp in person, has an opalescent quality to it that is hard to describe. I believe only 50 five strings were made for the US market. When in passive mode, the tone reminded me of a P bass. Cool thing too, classics normally have 2 tone controls. This one has 3. The third knob is a push/pull active passive switch. In passive mode, it doubles as tone control. On them one I had, there was no change in volume when switching between active and passive.

Awesome bass, GWLTS!

Answered correctly by BIGEJ2..... and yes, there is virtually no change in volume when switching between active and passive.

As a matter of fact, BIGEJ2 was pretty much dead on with all of his comments...color, tone, etc.

Definitely special and I wish I was a 5-string player cause it would absolutely be my go to bass.

I have had multiple PM's about the neck.

It is a maple neck with a rosewood board.

I don't really have a scale that weighs things to pinpoint accuracy but it is usually within a few ounces of what the scale at FedEx and UPS show.....so, I am pretty sure that it weighs between 10.2 and 10.5 pounds.

I really like it. If I was jamming with Prince, I'd play this bass.
