For sale: Cliff Bordwell 5 string

SOLD****************

This bass is in great shape. No issues to mention. The only thing that I want to point out is that the treble is voiced pretty high. I kind of like it, but it is a bit different than other basses that I've owned. It's subtler, but I find it more usable. I will ship in a gig bag.

I was thinking about keeping this bass, but will re-open the thread since I am not really playing much 5 string electric these days. I will hate to see it go, but it is just begging to be played more.

When you say "the treble is voiced pretty high" and "it's subtle" do you mean

a) the frequency affected by the treble knob is higher than you'd expect on most basses

or

b) the inherent voice of this instrument is a little bright/trebly?

How comfortable do you find the flat radius to be?

How would you describe the voice?

How would you characterize the B-string?

Thanks!

The freq of the preamp is higher than on other basses. The bass is not bright. It has a modern tone, but woodier not super bright. I love the radius of the board, but i guess it is all personal preference. The b string is nice. I wouldnt say it is super tight, but not too flabby.
