Summer of 2010 build for master luthier, Andrew Drake. "Angel" was completed August 12, 2010. I've used her primarily as a studio and rehearsal bass. She lives in my climate controlled studio. 70 degrees and 40% humidity.
She is a great player and has great tonal range. "Angel" is in "as new" condition. She is strung with RotoSound RS 77LD, which are flats....105, 85, 65, 45.
Quality of build and workmanship by Andrew is exceptional.
I had planned to begin using her this week as one of two live show basses, but Andrew has offered to build me a different body style from figured walnut and birds eye maple that has greater appeal for me. The only reason I'm interested in selling "Angel" is to raise $$ for the new build. If she doesn't sell, I'm fine with keeping her long term.
