Hello all,
I am interested, sadly, in beginning to look at selling my mint condition (actually, that is understatement, it's ultra mint) F Bass BN-5. I love the bass, but am in need of funds. I guarantee that you could not tell this bass from one coming directly from George Furlanetto's shop. Not a mark, scratch, ding, of any kind...it's PERFECT (Note: in the pictures, anything that looks like marks are simply reflections). About the only thing that isn't like brand new is some dust on the original gig bag, which will be removed prior to sale.
This bass has a one piece swamp ash body, and very pretty birdseye maple fretboard. Extremely stable neck, truss rod has not been touched, ever. I'm quite certain you won't find a better BN5 unless you get one from F Bass...and maybe not even then!
I'd like to get $2,600.00, and that would include 2 sets of F Bass strings. Shipping would be negotiable.
Thanks for looking!

Looking for a good funk bass 5er...something higher end....FBAss, Fodera, MTD, Roscoe, etc.....
I am guessing you arent much of a slapper....or there would be the evident "slap rash" under the G string....
Thanks...... |

Thanks for those of you who have voiced interest. As of this morning, I have 2 offers on tap, and we'll see how it goes. Don't give up on me yet, however! It's not over 'till it's over!
To dpbass66, I can honestly say I've never done any slap on this bass...it's a technique I never needed or attempted, so I can't help you on that aspect of it. I would say that Donovan Bankhead could give you some thoughts on slap tone in general on F Bass BN5's, though.
Oh, and regarding the weight, 9lb, 12oz.

Alain has played F basses exclusively since at least the early 1980s. IMHO Alain's work helped put F Bass on the map.

Played a brand new BN-5 at NAMM this year; all I can say is, "Damn."
