Hi All,
I am a fairly new member here (and just joined as a 'supporting member' today), so apologies in advance if I'm doing anything wrong or committing any kind of faux pas.
I am thinking of selling my Ken Smith BSR4M, as I'd like to pick up a used Wal. So, this is a 'feeler' to see what interest there is. I'm in the greater Washington D.C. area, so local interest would be awesome.
The bass is a Ken Smith active, 4 string BSR4M. Finish is, I believe, Tiger Maple.
I'm looking at around $2,000 (OBO) for the bass. My understanding is that the newer versions of this model sell for ~$3,800 new (
Ken Smith Basses, LTD. - New Custom Series Bolt-On Models).
Bass is in good condition and has been treated well, though it's certainly not cosmetically 'flawless' (there is some wear on the finish in spots). I purchased this bass from a used music store around 2000/2001, and used it ('lightly') for both studio and live work up until ~2004. Since then, I've not had as much time to play so it's
mostly stayed in the case.
The bass comes in its original hard case (which is in decent condition, but again - it has been gigged).
thanks,
-Skip
