Sale Feeler: Univox P-bass ("lawsuit") in great condition

Sign in to disble this ad
Univox "Precisely" Bass, likely from 1971. You know the deal, Matsumoku quality, etc. This one is in really good condition with only minor flaws on the cosmetic side, including a couple long stress cracks in the clearcoat (but not in the wood). Has the original case, which is in great condition also, and the chrome pickup and bridge covers.

On the electronic side, everything works. However, there is a scratchiness in the jack, and the volume pot is loose. Suffice it to say that it needs rewiring, but doesn't need anything else. And the bass is completely original.

Asking $350 shipped (or will make a deal for local people in Iowa, Twin Cities, Kansas City, Omaha, etc.).

Hey - alright, a local! With a little luck, I'll have this bass back in my hands later this evening, so I'll get that info for you. I've heard from others that the pickup cavity in these will hold a standard P-bass pickup, but I can verify that independently later on.

Great! I'd love a chance to look at it... I've got a ds pickup that I think would be great in the bass...

Bump for updated pics and information. Did I mention it has the chrome pickup and bridge covers?

I've had a few inquiries on this....got a local who wants to check it out tomorrow afternoon. If it's still available after that, I'll answer any questions or offers that exist at that point. Thanks!

This is a really nice example of this bass. I have mine that I purchased in 1973! It still pumps out serious Pbass thump! The case alone oozes cool. The new owner is going to be really surprised when they plug this in.Mine has incredibly hot pickups.GLWTS,it's good to see these are still out there. UNIVOX ROCKS!!
