For Sale: G&L L-2500 Amber Burst(?) 5 String Bass 1999 w/ohsc L2500 L 2500

I'm switching things up now so now my 1999 G&L L-2500 is up for sale. Amber finish over what I would call a flamed maple top.(not sure) I am the second owner and she was purchased in 2000 by the original owner.

This is in VG condition and has a couple of dings that were there when I bought it from the original owner. The last pics illustrate them. The worst spot he had repaired by a pro and you can see it. Looks great while you are playing it yet collectors should look elsewhere.

Plays and sounds great and I loved it the first time I plugged it in. I can get every sound I want/need from it.

34" Scale. 12" radius.

9 lbs 12oz on the digital bathroom scale.

Strung through the body with DR Marcus Millers Fat Beams. Includes G&L case with typical 2 bad feet but otherwise case is VG condition. I will also include the G&L certificate that comes with these.

For USPS MO I will ship insured FedEx ground to the 48 for 829 east of the big river and 849 west of the big river. To the 48 only.

Interesting how the side markers are in the maple part of the neck, and not in the fretboard. I've never seen that before.

I think that is just a natural finish with no burst. It may be a deluxe top as it looks somewhat like quilted maple. Definitely one of the sweetest looking natural L-2500's I have seen.

Again, I think the color is Amber. The top is some type of deluxe top, not sure what it's called so I call it "Amber Burst". If someone else knows the name let me know, I'll change it faster than Grampa's diaper.

As for the price, if it weren't for the imperfections I would have priced it higher, but I price stuff where I believe it should be relative to the condition and market which these days seems to end up less than what I paid.

I figure what you loose, is the price you pay to play a nice instrument.

The only two instruments I've made money on were a 74 Les Paul Standard and a 73 Fender Jazz when I "swore off" playing music to raise kids in the early nineties.

Taking another look it does kind of look like it might be amberburst. Whatever it is it is beautiful.

That's also a wood binding around the top of the body - very nice!
