I've had this for awhile and dig it, but I'm just looking to try something different.

Here's a lengthy post (with pics) I wrote back in April 2009 about it:

New Kay K162 Electric Pro Bass Reissue

I think you can still get these new for just under $800. I'm asking $650.....but shoot me a PM with an offer!

I own a black one. They are great. I strung mine with TI Flats and put a piece of foam under the strings right by the bridge. It is the most inexpensive bass I own, but it is the only one my band members want me to play. It sounds THAT good.

GREAT basses. I just sold one, and only because one of my dream vintage basses became available so I had to sacrifice something. But it was hard to let go. Sweet tone.

A TB'er asked for the weight. On my bathroom scale, it's 6 pounds. Anybody got a more accurate number?

The one I had was a lot heavier than that....not overly heavy, but comparable to my P bass. A little more solid feeling than I expected from a semi-hollow, but still comfortable. Of course, they could vary.
