For Sale: Musicman Sub Bass (Active)

Sign in to disble this ad
Selling my USA made musicman SUB bass. this one has the highly desirable, optional two-band active eq in it. if i didn't just build a lightweight body for my other stingray, i'd be keeping this one. this is truly a great one and over a full pound lighter than most at only 9 lbs 2 oz (most of them are 10-11lbs!). IMO, these are a real bargain and compare to the new stingray 'classic' that retail for big bucks. i also think that they're ALOT better than the Sterling Ray34 that is made in Indonesia, since SUB's were made in the good ol USA.

this bass is in excellent condition (with no dings or dents in the body and just a few small ones on the neck). i have adjusted the neck, dressed the frets, adjusted the action, cleaned the pots & jack and strobed the intonation so it sounds great. i replaced the pickguard with a new OEM EB MM black/white/black one. comes shipped with a hardshell (non EB case).

asking $600.00 NOW $575 NOW $550 NOW $525 (no trades) + actual shipping via fedex ground.

here's some pics of it:

IMHO< I like it better with the black PG to match the headstock.

All SUB basses were equipped with a two band active EQ like the originals if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, bump for a nice bass. I have a SUB 5 in grey and it's a nice bass.

A friend of mine has a Sub bass that looks exactly the same as this one. The finish looks nice in person (and it can take a beating), and it sounds great.
