For Sale Only: 2007/2008 Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass (4-string)

This bass has a 2007 serial number, but appears to have all the features and improvements of a 2008. As you can tell from the pictures, there are no dings or scratches...the condition is superb.

The color is Blizzard Pearl. The pickguard is tort. It is light, but well balanced, thanks in part to the tuners you can see in the pics. The action is lower and faster than any Jazz I've had, with no fret buzz. The setup and the frets are just right.

In short, this is a beautiful, great-playing bass. It is immaculate, and the TSA approved case is in great shape as well.

I'm asking $950 plus $35 shipping, or a total of $985. Paypal or USPS money order are okay. CONUS only.

The craftsmanship is first rate on this bass...Fender at its best.

Sorry to hear about your health issues bubba....... I've been there, and had to deal with it without any insurance. Good luck to you.
That deluxe is definitely one of the good ones.

Sorry to hear you are letting go some of your bass gear and other stuff. But our health not something we can just go and replace. I wish I had the extra money, or I would buy this bass from you.

This bass sounds great with the three band active EQ and the Samarium Cobalt Noiseless (SCN) pickups.

Very light, with a fast action and a neck so sweet you won't want to let go of it.

Bump. This is a super bass I just can't afford to keep any longer. The condition is immaculate. Wonderful tone, plays so smooth and sweet it seems direct wired into the creative regions of your brain, without anything standing between what you hear in your head and what comes out of your speakers.

I might consider a trade if necessary. Honestly, what I would want to trade for would be something I could turn around and sell, perhaps more easily than this bass.

I firmly believe that if our economy weren't so bad right now, this bass would be long gone by now. Heck, if times weren't so hard, I would probably keep it myself.

Would also consider trading for an upright for my son. At 13 he has already surpassed me as a bassist, and grows in skill and creativity every day. I would love to have the raw talent he is displaying...the speed, the precision, the timing, the sense of musicality...he's still just a kid, but when he picks up a bass, he becomes a mature and thoughtful musician. I used to be able to answer all of his questions with authority. Now I just give him the best opinion I have, and hope it helps.

Well, it looks like I have hijacked my own thread by talking about Robert, but it is early in the morning, I'm in St. Louis for a Todd Rundgren show tonight, and my mind is wandering a bit.
