FOR SALE ONLY: 6 string Brice Prestige Z with Bartolini EQ - $375 shipped!!

Sign in to disble this ad
This has been my main gigging bass for the past 3 years.

I upgraded the pre-amp to a Bartolini 2 band, and it's currently strung with DR Black Beauties (which could stand replacing, except for the fact that they're finally "broken in" and sounding and feeling VERY nice).

I shielded the cavity as well to eliminate most of the buzz from lights, but there are still some rooms that we play where buzz occurs - a trip to the local luthier would be recommended...but that's the ONLY drawback to this bass. No nicks, dents, dings, rash - NUTHIN!!

Why, then, would I put it up for sale? 35" scale....I'm looking convert to 34s for the music that I'm doing, and because it's a lot easier on the fingers. My fretlesses are 34s, so the switch back and forth would be eaiser too.

Neck thru - natural gloss finish - ash wings, 5 piece maple/mahogany neck, rosewood board - 2 band Bartolini EQ with stock Brice pickups, 19mm string spacing at the bridge!! For an inexpensive bass, you'd never know it construction wise

$375 shipped CONUS. These are $469 new with the stock electronics - PLEASE don't ask internationally - if I can't make it to the post office for the KSD, it ain't happening with this one.

2 pix are attached - check out the MySpace link in the signature for pictures of the bass in action on my slide show.

(This is the same posting as the other thread - I just can't change the title of the thread to remove "feeler." Even though people have told me how to do it, it doesn't work on my computer.

Thank you for your consideration!!

Z

Now you see why there's not belt rash too!

You can also PM me with offers ($$ - not trades - unless you'd like to give me a Roscoe or Overwater 6 string - then I could give you this and two other basses!!).

Need to buy a Zoom recorder...

Must sell, y'all -

Can't deal with too many basses hanging around the house, and might have the opportunity to get others. Can't get one of these new without waiting, and you won't get one with a Bartolini 2 band EQ in it!!

Will have new Ken Smith Strings on it by the weekend!!

$375 shipped!!

These STILL aren't available new on the RondoMusic site...and the new strings put even more snap into it. Great for slap tone, and the Bart pre-amp gives it the ability to be warm if you want it to be.

Forgot - if you want to hear it, click the "MySpace" link in the signature, and choose the tune "Just Funkin' Around." (The fretless doing the solo is a Brice as well - can't believe some of the tone I get from these basses).

Geez, I can't believe that this bass, with the upgrades this one has, is still hanging around here at this price. Rondo hasn't had this in stock for several months now .....

Excellent bass, it'd be difficult to find something this good for under $1K, very comparable to the Yamaha TRB6's in feel and tone, especially with the Bart!

Good luck with this Mike .....

Gee - thanks, Ed!! I can't log on to TalkBass at work anymore, so there's been no more lunchtime checkin' to see what's happening! Thanks for answering the string spacing question!!

The new strings on it really make it "pop" too.

This is a fantastic bass. I have one of the first versions in 34" scale. I don't see much need to upgrade to a different bass.
I have only upgraded the pre and it sounds and plays fantastic.

I'm still GASing for the same in fretless. I like it that well.

You can get them in fretless...they're just not available now (and of course, more expensive new).

Speaking of how good these are, I have the paperwork ready to order a CUSTOM one. That's why I'm putting this one on the block...it'lll cover the rest of the cost.

When I get it, I'll upgrade the pre-amp just like K-frog said. (Kenny - you have a PM!!!!)

Certainly somebody out there likes frets.....

Still available....
