I got this bass a year ago looking to try out the EMGs. They aren't the pickup for me. This bass has been sitting around for half a year without any real attention and it's time for it to get a good home. It's in the same condition as I got it. I haven't even changed the strings.

The neck is superb (big and beefy, comfortable fingerboard, solid feel), the electronics are clean, and the body shape is rad as hell.
There are some minor scratches/dings on the sides of the bass (on the corner by the input jack and at the bottom tip, respectively), none of which go all the way through the finish. On the back, there are some faint, barely visible scratches around the tummy cut and some circular wear patterns around the strap button at the back of the neck. There's one ding on the side of the fretboard that almost makes it look like there's a side dot for the 2nd fret. However, the headstock is undamaged entirely. The finish on this bass is really beautiful and sturdy (one of the reasons I got it). It's a little dusty/grimy from sitting in a guitar shop for a year then not being used for another year, so I can clean it up for you before I pack and ship it. If you want, I can throw in a fresh pack of the strings of your choice.
The strap buttons aren't stock. I believe they are some kind of strap locking system. I've never seen anything like them. They came on the bass when I got it. They appear to work with Dunlop strap locks, but I don't know if they're Dunlop-made buttons at all.
The big issue with this bass is that there is some pretty serious fret wear on the B string close to the nut (1st-3rd frets) and a little on the E string on the 1st fret as well, if I remember correctly, but the rest of the frets have lots of life left in them. I remember when I got the bass, it was set up with the strings that are on it a step below standard tuning. Whoever had it before me really ground the life out of the low frets with the heavier strings. They may need to be recrowned or maybe replaced entirely. I don't know what can be done or how much it'll cost to be done, hence the low price.
Also worthy of note is the fact that a couple of the plastic washers in between the housing and the tuner's head have come out. This seems to happen a lot with these mini tuners. It doesn't harm the tuners' functionality, though.
I would like to see this bass get used for once, so I want to sell it for a price low enough that would still allow whoever winds up getting it to afford the trip to the luthier to get the frets worked on and to get the instrument set up (or to make up for the effort of setting it yourself).
I haven't bothered to set it up since I've been meaning to sell it for so long, but I haven't gotten around to it. I figure that if I'm going to sell it, I'd rather let the person who's going to be playing the bass set it up to their own preference rather than mine.
I'll start out asking for $450, but I'll accept all reasonable cash offers via PayPal. PM me if you have any questions or comments!
That's all I can think of. If you want to see more detailed or specific photographs of the bass, let me know!
