For Sale/ For Trade 1981 G&L L-1000
Never thought I’d be selling this bass but I find I like jazz necks better. This is a 1981 G&L L1000. When I bought it there was a terrible refinish job on the body. I had the body refinished and painted something similar to arctic white. It is a beautiful job done through D’Town guitars Bucks County PA. It is a Nitro finish. The body I think is poplar.The knobs aren’t original. The Bass comes with a non original hard case. That’s about all that isn’t original. TI flats on it now. The neck is 1 and 11/16 inches and very flat. The neck has never been refinished and has that real vintage tint. There are a couple of minor nicks on the back of the neck. Not much fret wear. Great sound and that omg switch is omg. It’s a bit on the heavy side but I think it is less than 10lbs I’d like to get
$1100 $1000 shipped for it. (that is less than I have in it).
Trades - the only trades I’d think about are a Lakland Skyline Decade or an older Duck Dunn (with Fralin pickups) - I sold a Duck Dunn a while back and realize that I miss it. I would need some cash with these basses. I'd also think about a nice acoustic bass too. I also like telecaster basses like the '51 reissue and the Mike Dirnt Bass. Kala UBass interests me too. A Reverend Rumblefish, a Kay reissue or an interesting hollow body bass. I'd also think about other non bass things to (though I'd like to get some cash out of the deal) like a nice accoustic guitar, or electric guitar. An Ipad I'd perfer WIFI. A 4th Gen Iphone (Verizon). I love that thermin that is for sale here on talk bass....
