This is a great Jazz style bass that I really hate to get rid of, but I'm itching to start a Warmoth build! I hope the guy I bought it from doesn't mind me using his description and pics
"Up for sale is a fairly rare Schecter California Custom 5-string Bass. These were only made for a few years before the Diamond Series stuff became more mainstream, and had a street price of over $1000 new (for good reason!)
EMG pickups, 35" scale, and all Hipshot hardware including bridge, tuners, and knobs. Active 2-band EQ, maple neck/rosewood board, alder body with black cherry burst quilt maple top. String spacing at the bridge is 18mm.
This is a really, truly high-quality bass. It plays very smoothly with a low action and is very versatile, with a huge amount of tones available. Incredibly comfortable neck too, and the low B is extremely clear and solid-sounding.
There is a small ding on the side of the headstock by the D string tuner, a small (nearly unnoticeable) scratch on the upper horn by the straplock, and a little scratch on the back in the tummy carve (couldn't get any of them to show up on the camera, and you really have to look to see them.)"
Also, there is some discoloration near the nut on the edge of the fretboard, it in no way affects playability but I will take a pic of it if needed. I just put a brand new set of DR Bootzillas on this baby and it just roars!! Solo the bridge pickup and you get a really nice Jaco type tone. Also, as mentioned above, the B string is really nice and taught.
I have a hardcase kicking around that I will ship it in.
My price is $500
NOW $450shipped. No trades unless you have an awesome Jazz bass.
