Upgraded Schecter Stiletto Studio-6 Bass - $525 shipped CONUS (shipped in beatup SKB HSC)
I had Brian at the Lowend install active EMG 45DC pickups and
an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp with switchable mids. I've had tons of
compliments on this bass from soundguys and musicians.
These sell for $750+ new. Then, I put about $300 into it.

I agree that there's just something about a Schecter Studio with an OBP-3. My Studio5 has custom Kent Armstrongs in it and it just has something magical tonally when I play it live. All that mahogany makes great bones to mod on top of of.

Good to hear you got connected with someone finally. The Studios have a great core to them that just seems to come alive with better pickups and preamp. Something kind of Warwick like once you hot-rod them. Thick and punchy with an edge. |

This is a versatile bass. Someone take it from me.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Apr 2009 Location: Burlington, VT | | | i used to have one of these, it's an amazing bass. the neck is definitely the best 6 i've ever played. perfect depth. not too thin so it hurts your hand, but not chunky enough to make it hard to play. the stock bridge is very solid, too.
good luck selling it! i think that's a great price, and hopefully the right lucky person will stumble upon it! |
