| | Beneficiary of G.A.S.- lovin' every minute of it!! | | | | | I did get the communication but, it was after 1am EST and the family... It is a Paduak front and back and is, I believe, a little later than an SR-1300PD. The models are confusing and- you have to watch out- there are some that get a little militant with their data... It's a nice price for, I'm sure, a nice bass... |

Although, the bass listed here has a Paduak front and back and a basswood body (this I know). Having looked for years at Germany eBay in addition to the USA version, it becomes more apparent that there were and are models released in the European market and not available in the USA. There was a model available from around 1987-88 that was a Soundgear with the five piece maple/walnut neck, mahogany body, and maple facings. Now that is a sweet looker! Typically, the sure-fire way to go is to take the neck off and the model is in the pocket in ink. I had a pic from a four in my email and I agree I think it was an 890 in that case. This is a variation of an SR895 (I think).
